I want to create stories. I want to craft storylines like the ones I used to watch when I was a child. My favorite tv shows and books helped form who I am today, and I want to pay that forward. They don’t need to be tv shows but that’s truly the dream! Even startups have a story to tell, and I want to make sure that I reach those looking for a page to turn.
I want to blend physical and digital media. Painting and graphics can merge into a beautiful canvas, and I intend to make this a skill I master! I will bring back design that brings beauty into the world. I will make beautiful things.
Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?
Yeah it’s scary, but it’s scarier that you didn’t do it.
What's your favorite A+D memory?
Finally making things I was passionate about: my comic, Mucha recreations and design work that fell more into my inspirations.
What was your favorite A+D class?
Design history
What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?
Making my comic. I finally saw that I just needed to go for what I want, even if it’s not perfect.
What's next for you?
Personal publications, freelancing, microgratitude, and painting.
How do you hope your work makes an impact?
I want to bring back beauty from the past. I hope it’ll bring back that whimsy in the things we live.
