FAQ

What is the SCSA Senior Show Exhibit?

The Senior Show Exhibit is a showcase of artwork and designs made by our graduating seniors in the Department of Art + Design. Areas of study include: 3D Studies (ceramics, sculpture), Art Education, Graphic Design, Painting & Drawing, and Photography. Some artworks have been created specifically for this exhibit while others have been curated from their time as students in their respective programs.

When does this start? Is it a hard start?

The event begins at 6:00PM and ends at 8:00PM. It is a come-and-go event, so feel free to arrive at any point during the event!

There are 2 Locations–Where do I go?

We are encouraging guests to arrive at the Vandiver Gallery in the Thrift Library on Anderson’s main campus first. This is where the High School student check-in is located. We then recommend transitioning to the Chiquola Gallery downtown when you’re ready!

Where do I park?

If you’re headed to Vandiver Gallery in the Thrift Library on Anderson University’s main campus, there are a variety of parking spots next to and behind the Thrift Library. Additionally, there is parking around the Rainey Fine Arts Building as well (which is located right next to Thrift).

If you’re headed to Chiquola Gallery, this is located in Downtown Anderson in the Chiquola Club (or Google calls it Chiquola Hotel Suite). You may try to find street parking (free) but we recommend using the West Whitner Street Parking Building, which is free and a few buildings down from Chiquola on 100 W Whitner.

Will there be food?

Yes! There will be small bites and beverages for the show in each location.

What is the deal with the High School Student gift?

We have 30 Swag Bags (maybe more…) for the first 30 High School students to check-in at Vandiver Gallery! Additionally, we have a small gift for High School Art Teachers!
